World Thinking Day

“Memory is the residue of thought.”

Daniel T. Willingham

We would like to say thank and well done to all the children who so actively supported and celebrated Word Thinking Day on Thursday this week. We talk each and every day with our children about the importance of paying attention and thinking as we know these two actions are essential requirements to enable learning to take place and be remembered.

Every year on 22 February the Guiding and Scouting associations celebrate World Thinking Day which promotes and encourages young people to think about big issues within and beyond their communities. Many of the children talked to their classes really clearly about the issues they have been thinking about within the association groups. It was lovely to hear the range of great thinking that goes on beyond school and the high level of involvement children at St Peter’s have with the different associations. Keep up the great work.
