Miss Fishburn – Deputy Head and Year 5/6 Teacher

Welcome Message

Welcome to the Eagles class page!

I am a both a Year 5/6 class teacher and Deputy Headteacher of St Peter’s.  I really love teaching the children in Eagles class  and working with the Y5/6 teaching team.  I am also very fortunate to have the opportunity to work closely with different groups of children and adults in the school.  When not at work, I like to spend time with family and friends, in or near water – wild swimming and surfing are my favourite hobbies and I love walking along the beach, listening to and watching the waves.

We have a great time in Eagles Class and we are very creative and sporty. We are great role models for the younger children and are independent with our learning. We are a super team and we support each other and celebrate each other’s efforts and achievements.

Recommended Reading

In Year 5 and 6 the children are encouraged to read increasingly challenging texts which are sometimes difficult to choose! To help, we have come up with a list of appropriate texts that we recommend, a lot of which can be found in our school library.
