Welcome to Ravens’ class!
In Ravens’ class we are always shining and sharing our shine throughout the school day. As we are some of the eldest children in the school, we take this as an opportunity to be excellent role models to the younger children. Learning in Ravens’ class is always fun, with lots of opportunities to practise and build our confidence and independence. We take pride in everything we do and love the opportunities we have to take on extra responsibilities and roles within the class and wider school.

In Year 5 and 6 the children are encouraged to read increasingly challenging texts which are sometimes difficult to choose! To help, we have come up with a list of appropriate texts that we recommend, a lot of which can be found in our school library.
Homework will be set on a Friday and due in on the following Friday.
Homework for children in Year 5
Schofield and Sims Mental Arithmetic – 1 page per week
Spellings – learn weekly spellings, access Spelling Shed and write weekly spellings into sentences in SPaG book.

One Maths and one English task per week from CPG Book.
