On behalf of the children, staff and governors may I offer you a warm welcome to our school.

We are situated in the heart of the beautiful spa town of Harrogate and serve children from our immediate and wider locality.

Our Vision of ‘SHINE’ provides the framework for all aspects of school life and underpins the daily experience for everyone in our school. Central to our vision is ensuring that children’s personal development, wellbeing and wider curriculum opportunities are valued as highly as academic progress.

We are ambitious for every child to become a lifelong fluent learner, who remembers important knowledge and skills whilst developing an enjoyment and appreciation of learning.

We are dedicated to helping our children grow and develop emotionally, creatively and spiritually, helping them to be the best versions of themselves and preparing them for their futures in a diverse world.

The needs of our children always come first and we work closely with parents building positive relationships that help contribute to the work we do.

In our school, children receive the gift of education within a culture that values their individuality.

Visiting our school is the ideal way to experience and explore our vision for yourself. All our visits are personalised to suit visitors and can be arranged by contacting the school office. We look forward to welcoming you.

In the meantime take a look at the video below to give you an insight into life at St Peter’s.

Our Vision

SHINE in the light and love of God.

We nurture each individual to be happy, healthy and safe, build positive and respectful relationships with others valuing their uniqueness and including everyone.

We inspire children to a lifelong love of learning, to develop wisdom, knowledge and skills and be fluent, confident learners who are well prepared for life in a diverse world.

We support children to grow and develop socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually, helping them to shine and share their light enabling themselves and others to flourish.

‘People do not light a lamp and cover it with a bowl or put it under the bed. Instead they put it on a lampstand, so that people will see the light as they come in’.    Luke 8 V16.
