We are blessed to be so close to our fantastic local public library. Over the summer term all classes will be visiting as part of their English curriculum. On Tuesday it was the turn of children in Early Years. They all very much enjoyed hearing a story from one of the librarians as well as enjoying some paired reading and learning about how the books are organised and grouped.
On Thursday children from Eagles class visited and enjoyed chatting to the librarian about their role in the library and the knowledge and skills needed for this role and learning about the different systems and ways of organising the books. Many also brought their library cards and were able to choose books to bring back to school and home.
Thank you to Mrs Henderson our English leader for organising these visits.
