Fun Filled Christmas Week

Dec

On behalf of the St Peter’s team thank you to everyone for their support this term as we worked together to help every child Love Learn and Shine. We would like to wish everyone a peaceful and relaxing Christmas holiday and a happy new year. We are pleased to share some of the events from a fun filled final week of term.

Sustainable Christmas Theatre Visit

Children in Year 1&2 enjoyed a trip to the tepee at the Cedar Court Christmas experience this week. During their visit they learnt all about the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and how to work towards a more sustainable Christmas. What a magical experience they had whilst meeting Father Christmas! Thank you to Enchantica’s for organising such a wonderful experience for the children.

A big thank you also to all the parents who helped us walk there and back safely and make this experience possible.

Nativity Performances

Thank you to all family members who supported the children from Early Years and Key Stage one in their nativity performances this week. The children performed superbly speaking clearly and singing beautifully.

Thank you also to the FOSP team who organised a splendid fireside family feast before the evening performance.

Christmas Service

A big thank you and well done to all the children for leading a thoughtful and reflective act of worship in Church on Thursday. Through their readings, songs, drama and prayer they helped us all reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. It was a pleasure to see St Peters church full to the rafters with families joining our worship time.

Christmas Lunch

We would like to say a big thank you to the wonderful kitchen team for preparing a lovely Christmas lunch on Thursday. It was a super traditional Christmas menu which was enjoyed by all. It was made even more special by a special appearance from Mrs McNichol who is back from the Bahamas visiting for Christmas. Thank you to all the team for pitching in to help serve the children who all seemed to enjoy their lunch very much. Clean plates all around!

Community Carols

Thank you to everyone who supported our community carol singing this afternoon. It was a lovely way to round off the Christmas week and the whole term.  The children sang beautifully, it was a pleasure to hear. Thank you to FOSP for the supply of warm drinks which were very much appreciated.

Panto Visit

The whole school thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Harrogate theatre to watch this year’s Pantomime, Aladdin. As always it was a spectacular family fun filled theatre experience. The children behaved impeccable as they walked to and from theatre and enjoyed the show.

Huge thank you to FOSP who fully funded this visit for every single child in school. This is a significant annual fundraising commitment and we are very grateful to the FOSP team and everyone who supports them. Thank you.
