Farewell Mis Fishburn

Jul

After over a decade of dedicated service today was Miss Fishburn’s final day at St Peter’s.

It was a pleasure to gather the children together for a series of songs and messages dedicated to Miss Fishburn to help us say goodbye to a dedicated and much-loved teacher and our friend.

Since joining St Peter’s back in 2011 Miss Fishburn has served the staff children and families of St Peter’s school for 13 consecutive school years. She has been a fabulous Deputy Headteacher, Associate Headteacher and Acting Headteacher. We know she is going to be a superb Headteacher and we all wish her well as she embarks on the next chapter of her career.
For over a decade she has brighten the lives of thousands of children and provided fantastic leadership to the school throughout a range of different challenges. She has been at the heart of all the school has achieved and has shone brightly touching the lives of so many.
In a recent collective worship, we shared this quote;
‘To make a difference in someone’s life you don’t have to be brilliant, rich beautiful or perfect. You just have to care.’
Mandy Hale
To us Miss Fishburn you are all of those and more but it has been clear from the very beginning how much you care for us all and for that we will always be enormously grateful.
No words we can put together will begin to thank you for all you have done. Farewell and god bless.
