It has been a busy week of sporting competition this week at St Peter’s.
Swimming Gala
On Wednesday children for across KS2 had an  incredible afternoon at the KS2 School Swimming Gala! We were proud to be one of the ten schools competing, showcasing amazing talent and sportsmanship. St Peter’s gave a fantastic performance, securing 3rd place overall! 🥉 They were holding strong in 2nd place until the very last round, demonstrating determination and skill.
We are so proud of all the children who participated and gave their best. Your hard work and dedication truly shone through. 🌟👏
Congratulations to everyone involved!
Football Tournament
On Tuesday Mrs Oldfield took a team of five girls to play football at Rossett sports centre, there were four schools in the competition, and we played against them all. The girls played really well as a team communicating well and supporting each other. Annabelle received a certificate for respect from the Sporting Influence team.
Para Sports
On Wednesday Mrs Oldfield took six children to Harrogate High to take part in the Sporting Influence Para Sports competition. All the children got to take part in wheelchair basketball, goal ball where the children were all blindfolded and the ball had a bell in it the children played in 2 teams and had to try and score goals. They also tried curling and Boccia which they had to do whilst seated. We are proud to work closely with sporting influence who offer a wide range of traditional sporting fixtures as well as giving children the opportunity to participate in and experience a more diverse range of sporting activities.
Jess received a certificated for respect whilst supporting and encouraging the other children in her team.
