Sporting Competitions
Despite some rather damp weather it has been a busy week of sporting competition at St Peter’s this week. Thanks to Mrs Oldfield who has accompanied the different teams this week.
On Tuesday a team of 5 girls from year 3&4 went to Rossett High School afterschool to take part in a high five netball festival where they learnt different skills and played matches against 2 other schools scoring 2 goals and winning one of their matches.
On Wednesday a team of 9 children from years 1&2 took part in the second week of football competition at Harrogate High. There were two mini tournaments going on which eight schools were represented. St Peter’s won 2 games and narrowly lost one. All the children played well with great respect and communication skills showing throughout all of their games.
Well done to everyone who took part in both competitions and represented St Peter’s so well.
