πŸ”– Book Lovers in Eagles Class

This week, the children in Eagles class enjoyed a special visit to our library. As part of their reading task, they carefully selected books that they would recommend to others and chose their favourites to feature in a new display. The children thought carefully about what makes a great book and shared their recommendations to inspire other children across the school to discover a new story.
To make the display even more special, the children designed and decorated colourful bookmarks to place inside the books. Their creativity shone through as they created eye-catching designs, helping future readers find a book they might love.

Mrs Henderson, Eagles class teacher and English Leader, said:

“It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm the children have shown for reading. They thoughtfully selected books they would recommend to others and created beautiful bookmarks to accompany them. Activities like this help children develop a lifelong love of reading while sharing their enjoyment with the wider school community.”

This activity reflects our school vision of Love, Learn, Shine. The children demonstrated Love through their enjoyment of reading, Learn by discussing and recommending quality texts, and Shine through their creativity and thoughtful contributions to the library display.
We look forward to seeing which books inspire our next generation of enthusiastic readers! πŸ“šβœ¨
