✨ Sharing Our Gifts, Strengthening Our Community

Today, children, staff, families and friends gathered at St Peter’s Church for our annual Harvest Festival, a joyful act of worship that beautifully reflected our school vision of Love, Learn, Shine.
Throughout the service, we reflected on the Christian values of love, belonging and generosity, considering how acts of kindness help everyone feel welcomed, valued and connected within our community. The children were encouraged to think about how we can all be like the “good soil” in the Parable of the Sower, allowing kindness, faith and love to grow in our hearts and bear fruit for others.
Our harvest collection demonstrated the wonderful generosity of our school community. The gifts donated will support the work of St Peter’s Church and help those who may be facing challenges. These practical gifts are an important reminder that we can use our talents and resources to care for others, but they also carry a deeper message: they let people know that others are thinking of them and that they belong.
The service provided a lovely opportunity to celebrate the many ways we can give generously, whether through sharing our time, offering kind words, helping others, or sharing what we have. These daily acts of kindness strengthen our sense of community and help our school live out our vision of Love, Learn, Shine.
We were incredibly proud of our Worship Leaders, who led the service with confidence, reverence and care. Children across the school played an important role, and our Early Years and Key Stage 1 children delighted everyone with their performance of See the Farmer.
Thank you to all the families who supported the service, both through their generous donations and by joining us for worship. Your support helped make the occasion a special celebration of community, gratitude and belonging.
As part of our service, we shared this prayer together:
Dear God,
Thank You for the food we eat, the farmers who grow it, and the many people who help bring it to our tables. Thank You for our school, our families, our church, and our friends. Help us to remember that everyone is special and everyone belongs in Your family. As we share our harvest gifts with others, help us to be kind, generous, and caring. Teach us to look out for those who need help and to always be thankful for the blessings we have. As we leave today, fill our hearts with joy, gratitude, and love.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen. 🌾🍎🙏
