πŸ’™ Love Means Everyone Belongs

🌟 Shining Together Through Love and Kindness❀️

This week in Collective Worship, our children explored the important theme of Love and Belonging, thinking carefully about what it means to ensure everyone feels welcomed, valued and included within our school family.
Together, the children reflected on the Christian understanding of love, inspired by the Bible verse:
“Let us love one another, for love comes from God.” (1 John 4:7)
Through discussion and reflection, children considered how it feels to be included and welcomed, using the idea of a reserved seat to help them think about belonging. They explored how it might feel when someone is expected, remembered and valued, and how difficult it can be when people feel left out. The worship reminded everyone that Christians believe God’s love helps every person know they belong and that nobody is forgotten.
The children also listened to the story of Jesus and the Taxman, reflecting on how Jesus showed love, acceptance and care for all people.
During a thoughtful reflection time, children considered one simple but powerful question:
“What is one thing you could do this week to help someone else feel that they belong in our school community?”
To help remember the message, children explored how love can be shown every day:
  • L – Listen and love like Jesus loves us
  • O – Offer kindness every day
  • V – Value everyone
  • E – Encourage others with caring words
This worship linked beautifully to our school vision of Love, Learn, Shine. By showing kindness, respect and care for one another, our children demonstrate God’s love in action, helping our whole community to flourish and shine brightly together.
Love. Learn. Shine. πŸ’™βœ¨
