🎨🌍 Exploring God’s Wonderful Creation 🌍

This week in RE, the children in Kingfisher Class have been busy learning all about the Christian Creation Story. As we explored the seven days of creation, each child chose one day from the story to illustrate inside a paint pot. We then worked together to order the paint pots correctly, recreating the sequence of events from the seven days of creation.

The activity encouraged the children to think carefully about what Christians believe about how the world was made, while developing their understanding of chronology and storytelling through art.

They enjoyed expressing their ideas creatively and worked brilliantly together to put the days in the correct order. It was wonderful to hear them discussing what happened on each day and sharing their learning with their friends.”
Through this learning, the children demonstrated our school vision to Love, Learn, Shine by showing curiosity, teamwork and creativity as they explored an important Christian belief.

Ideas to Follow Up at Home 🏡

  • Read the Creation Story together from a children’s Bible.
  • Go on a nature walk and talk about the wonderful things you can see in creation.
  • Create your own Creation Story artwork using paint, collage or natural materials.
  • Challenge your child to retell the seven days of creation in the correct order.
