🤝 Helping Everyone Feel They Belong

Sep

🌟 Our Worship –  Beginning the Week with Love and Belonging🤝

This week, we came together as a school family for our collective worship as we began exploring our new half-term value of Love and Belonging. Through worship, reflection and discussion, the children considered what it means to follow Jesus’ teaching to“Love your neighbour as yourself” (Mark 12:31) and how this can be lived out in our school community every day.

Children reflected on the idea that love is choosing to care for others, helping them feel valued, safe and happy, just as God loves us. Together, we explored how loving actions can be shown through kindness, respect, listening carefully to others and encouraging those around us.
Using the story of Jesus and the children, we thought about how everyone is welcomed, valued and loved. The children were encouraged to reflect on how they can help others feel a sense of belonging in our classrooms, playground and wider community.
Throughout the week, this important value will continue to be explored in classes, worship and everyday interactions as we consider how we can all play our part in creating a community where everyone feels they belong.
A special thank you goes to our wonderful Worship Leaders, who helped lead our worship with confidence, thoughtfulness and enthusiasm. Taking on key roles during worship is an important responsibility, and they did a fantastic job helping our school family to reflect on this important message.
As always, our reflections linked closely to our school vision of Love, Learn, Shine, reminding us that when we show love to others, we help our whole community shine brightly. [CW
