🌿 Year 6 Leavers Service – A Beautiful Celebration and Reflection
Today, our Year 6 children marked a truly special milestone with a wonderful Leavers’ Service at St Peter’s Church. It was a heartfelt celebration filled with reflection, gratitude and joy, as we came together as a community to honour their journey through St Peter’s.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the children and their families for making the service so meaningful and memorable. It was a privilege to share such a special moment with you.
The children spoke with remarkable maturity as they reflected on their time at our school. Their thoughtful words were a powerful reminder of how much they have grown, not only in their learning but as kind, confident individuals. We are incredibly proud of each and every child.
The service was enriched by the beautiful singing from our choir and the whole school. The music lifted the occasion and truly captured the spirit of St Peter’s—joyful, reflective and full of hope.
A particularly moving moment came as the children shared their leavers’ books, giving them one final opportunity to reflect on their achievements and celebrate the many ways they each shine. These moments captured the essence of our school vision: Love, Learn, Shine.

Loving God,
We thank you for all that we have experienced and achieved during our time at St Peter’s School. Thank you for the friendships we have built, the challenges we have overcome, the memories we have made, and the people who have guided and supported us along the way.
Thank you for Love. Thank you that at St Peter’s we have been part of a community where we are known, valued and cared for. Help us always to remember that we are precious, unique and loved by you. As we move on, may we continue to show kindness, compassion and respect to others, helping everyone we meet to feel welcomed, included and loved.
Thank you for Learning. Thank you for the wisdom, knowledge and skills we have gained during our time here. Inspire us to keep a lifelong love of learning, to be curious, courageous and ambitious.
Thank you for all of the ways we shine. Thank you for the gifts and passions you have given each one of us. Help us to recognise that every person has something special to offer. Give us the confidence to shine as only we can, encouraging others to flourish alongside us. May we use our gifts to bring hope, joy and light to those around us.
As we prepare to leave St Peter’s and begin new chapters in our new schools, bless us with courage for the journey ahead. When we feel uncertain, remind us of all that we have learned and all that we can achieve. Help us to carry the values of St Peter’s in our hearts wherever we go.
May your light continue to shine within us, so that we may Love, Learn and Shine, helping ourselves and others to flourish in the light and love of God.

As our Year 6 children prepare to take their next steps, we send them off with our very best wishes. We hope they carry the spirit of St Peter’s with them wherever they go.
