Making Waves in Water Safety! 💧

Wrens, Kingfishers and Sparrows had a truly exciting and informative afternoon as we welcomed Sarah Wild to school to lead a fantastic water safety workshop.
The children listened brilliantly as they followed an engaging story, before taking part in a lively true or false quiz. They thoroughly enjoyed testing their knowledge while learning important facts about how to stay safe around water.
During the session, the children discovered practical ways to keep themselves safe, including the vital skill of floating if they ever find themselves in difficulty. They also explored how they might help someone else who is in trouble in the water—while always keeping themselves safe first.
The enthusiasm shown by the children throughout the workshop was wonderful. They were keen to join in, share their ideas and learn new skills that could one day make a real difference.
To celebrate their learning, every child received a certificate recognising their understanding of how to stay safe in and around water—something we are incredibly proud of.
A huge thank you to Sarah for delivering such a fun, engaging and educational experience for our children.
At St Peter’s, opportunities like this truly reflect our vision to Love, Learn, Shine loving one another by looking out for safety, learning vital life skills, and shining as knowledgeable and confident children in the wider world. 🌟
