🌞 Summer Sports on the Stray
We are delighted to share a wonderful addition to our extra‑curricular enrichment offer this summer — our Summer Sports Club on the Stray, delivered in partnership with Sporting Influence.
Led by Mr Griffiths, Mr Osborn and Miss Leyland, the club makes full use of the fantastic green space of the Stray, giving children the opportunity to get outdoors, be active and enjoy learning new sporting skills in a truly special setting.
Each session focuses on developing a wide range of summer sports skills, including striking and fielding games, teamwork activities and skill‑based practices. The Stray provides the perfect environment for children to move freely, build confidence and enjoy being active in the fresh air.
One of the loveliest aspects of the club is seeing children of all ages coming together, learning alongside one another, encouraging each other and sharing the joy of sport. It is a real pleasure to watch friendships grow as children join in together, making the most of this wonderful outdoor space.
The club runs on Mondays from 3.15pm to 4.30pm, offering a fun, active and enriching end to the school day. It forms part of our ongoing commitment to providing a broad and exciting enrichment offer that supports children’s physical wellbeing, confidence and enjoyment of learning beyond the classroom.
This initiative strongly reflects our school vision to Love, Learn and Shine — loving the outdoors and being together, learning new skills, and shining as confident, active children.
We are so pleased to be able to offer this opportunity and look forward to many more active summer sessions on the Stray.
