This weekend, one of our children, Esme, truly lived out our St Peter’s vision to Love, Learn, Shine as she took part in her first ever dance show with Freedom Performing Arts.
Esme spent the whole weekend at the beautiful Royal Hall in Harrogate with a full rehearsal day on Saturday from 9.30am to 6pm, followed by an exciting show day on Sunday from 11.30am right through to 9.30pm. That’s a long weekend of commitment for any child, but Esme showed incredible enthusiasm, energy and resilience throughout. She didn’t complain once and embraced every moment of the experience.
During the show, Esme took to the stage twice, performing in two very different dances. She appeared as a snowman in her Frozen-themed ballet piece, delighting the audience with her graceful movements and fabulous costume. Later, she stepped back under the spotlight to perform with confidence and flair in her commercial dance routine, showing a fantastic sense of rhythm and stage presence.
We are so proud of Esme for embracing new challenges, sharing her talents, and shining so brightly. What a wonderful example of perseverance, joy and creativity. Well done, Esme! 🌟
