Herons Enjoy a Wonderful Trip to the Library

At the end of last week, Herons enjoyed a fantastic trip to Harrogate Library, where the children spent a joyful morning exploring books, discovering new stories, and celebrating the pleasure of reading. The visit was a wonderful opportunity for our children to Love, Learn and Shine beyond the classroom walls.
The children loved settling into cosy reading corners, browsing the wide selection of books, and chatting with friends about their favourite finds. Their enthusiasm and curiosity were clear to see, and it was lovely to watch them grow in confidence as independent readers.
Alongside their book discoveries, the children also created beautifully decorated Easter cards. These special cards will be shared with members of our local community who are unable to visit the library in person. Harrogate Library’s delivery service ensures that those who cannot make it into town still receive books regularly — and this year, Herons’ thoughtful and cheerful Easter cards will be included in those deliveries.
These heartfelt creations are sure to brighten someone’s day, bringing warmth, smiles, and a reminder of the love and kindness our children show so naturally.
Miss Emsley shared:
“The children were so thoughtful and enthusiastic throughout the visit. Watching them create cards that will bring joy to others showed just how caring they are — they truly shone.”
