💬 Communication, Courage and Fair Play at Rossett High

On Tuesday after school, a team of Year 5 and Year 6 boys represented St Peter’s CE Primary School in a football competition at Rossett High School. They played four matches against other local schools, showing fantastic determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout.
Across the afternoon, the children won two matches and lost two matches a brilliant achievement in a very competitive field. More importantly, they never stopped encouraging each other, stayed positive and kept going right to the final whistle.
The St Peter’s team played with lots of energy and made excellent use of their communication skills on and off the ball. They organised their positions, supported one another and celebrated each other’s efforts, whether they were attacking, defending or cheering from the side-lines.
A special mention goes to Rafi, who received a certificate from the Sporting Influence team for his outstanding communication and respect. This is a wonderful reflection of the values we hold dear at St Peter’s, and we are incredibly proud of him.

The team was accompanied by Mrs Oldfield, who was full of praise for the boys:

“I was so proud of the way the children represented St Peter’s. They worked hard in every match, encouraged each other and showed real respect to the other teams and the referees. Their attitude summed up what we hope for in all our children – to give their best, to support one another and to enjoy taking part.”

Events like this are a brilliant example of our school vision in action: Love, Learn, Shine.
  • The children showed love through their encouragement, kindness and respect for others.
  • They learned by listening, adapting and improving their play in each match.
  • And they shone by giving their all, displaying fantastic teamwork and making St Peter’s proud on and off the pitch.
Well done to all the children who took part you were fantastic ambassadors for St Peter’s CE Primary School. 🌟
