✨ A Season of Compassion: Children Lead Our Christmas Service 🎶

🎄 Voices of Joy: Celebrating Christmas at St Peter’s 🕯 Children Share the Heart of Christmas.🎶

A Christmas Service Filled with Compassion and Joy

This morning, our whole school gathered at St Peter’s Church for a truly special Christmas service led by our wonderful children. From heartfelt readings to joyful songs and prayers, the theme of compassion shone through every part of the worship.
The service began with a warm welcome and candle lighting, reminding us of the light that Jesus brings into the world. Our KS2 readers guided us through the Christmas story, sharing moments that highlighted kindness, care, and love from Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem to the shepherds and wise men showing generosity and inclusion.
Children sang beautifully, filling the church with festive music including The Gift, Every Christmas, and Unto Us a Child is Born. Early Years and Key Stage 1 added their own sparkle with a song from their nativity performance, and our choirs joined together in harmony to open our worship.

Our Christmas Prayer

“God of compassion, you came among us in a way people did not expect.
You came to us in Jesus.
God of compassion, you come among us today in ways we do not expect.
You come to us where we are.
Help us to recognise you among us and welcome you afresh this Christmas.
Amen.”
We are so grateful to St Peter’s Church for their warm welcome, to our parents for their support, and most of all to our children for leading the service so superbly. You truly helped us Love, Learn, Shine together as a school community.
