Makaton Club: Exploring Colours Together 🌈 Learning Colours, Building Connections
Makaton Club Weekly Update
This week, our Makaton Club continued the exciting theme of colours, learning a new set of colour signs: green, orange, brown, white and black. It was a fantastic opportunity for children from every year group to come together and learn alongside each other a true celebration of our school vision to Love, Learn, Shine.
Two of our Year 6 Makaton Leaders, Quinn and Violet, shared their thoughts:
“We love being able to learn alongside children from all year groups. It’s especially nice to spend time with new starters in Wrens. Learning Makaton is a skill for life that will help us communicate with others and most importantly, it’s just fun!”
The club continues to grow in confidence and enthusiasm, and it’s wonderful to see friendships forming across the school as children learn this inclusive and valuable way to communicate.
