World Thinking Day

Feb

We were delighted to be involved in recognising and celebrating World Thinking Day this week. Celebrated since 1926, World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship. It is an opportunity to celebrate the Girl Guiding and Scouting Movements speak out on issues that affect young people and fundraise for 10.8 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 153 countries. We were pleased to stand alongside all our children who are part of these groups and support them as they wore their various guiding and scouting uniforms in school this week. Thank you to all the children who spoke so well to their classes about this day and their involvement in guiding and scouting.

Here are some comments from some of the children involved.

‘Thinking Day is about when Brownies and Rainbows first started. It also celebrates the future – we want a better future for our planet’ – Emily W
‘I love brownies because you get to do arts and crafts and you get to go camping’ – Rosie D’
‘I love doing crafts, we made Chinese dragons’ Olivia T
