🎨 Creativity, Community & Care: A Week to Celebrate! 🌍✨

At St Peter’s CE Primary School, we are incredibly proud of the way our children embrace opportunities to Love, Learn and Shine—and this half term is a perfect example of that in action!

🎨 Supporting Artizan Through Enterprise

This half term, our Year 6 children have been working closely with Artizan, the inspiring charity leading our school mosaic project. To say thank you and give something back, our young entrepreneurs are hosting a special pop-up shop filled with their handmade creations.
The children have shown fantastic creativity, teamwork and enterprise skills—designing and making a range of crafts to sell in support of this wonderful cause.

🌱 Young Leaders Making a Difference

At the same time, our Young Leaders have been thinking deeply about how they can positively impact our school community—and they’ve chosen an important and meaningful focus: keeping our playground clean and green.
They have already taken inspiring steps by introducing plants, herbs, fruits and flowers to make our outdoor space more enjoyable for everyone’s wellbeing. Now, they are encouraging all children to take responsibility for their environment by ensuring litter always goes in the bin.
One powerful message they have shared is just how long litter lasts:
A standard plastic snack packet can take 450 to 1,000 years to decompose!
Through posters, conversations and leading by example, our Young Leaders are helping everyone understand that even small actions can make a big difference.
Their simple but important reminder: 👉 After enjoying your snack, always put your litter in the bin.

đź’– Living Our Vision: Love, Learn, Shine

This week truly reflects what it means to be part of St Peter’s:
  • Love – caring for our community, supporting a charity and looking after our environment
  • Learn – developing enterprise skills, understanding sustainability and making thoughtful choices
  • Shine – showing leadership, creativity and a desire to make a positive difference
We are so proud of the way our children are stepping up—whether by crafting for a cause or championing a cleaner, greener playground.

Thank you to all families for your continued support. We look forward to seeing many of you at the pop-up shop and celebrating the amazing efforts of our children together! đź’«
