📅 Key Stage 2 Results Delay – What Parents Need to Know

We are writing to share an important update regarding this year’s Key Stage 2 SATS results, which affects all primary schools across the country.
Originally, schools were due to receive SATS results on 7 July 2026. However, due to a national issue with the system managed by the organisation responsible for administering and marking the tests, results will now be released to schools on Thursday 16 July 2026.
We completely understand that this news may feel disappointing, and we share that feeling. However, we want to reassure all families that this delay does not take away from the incredible achievements of our Year 6 children. We remain immensely proud of everything they have accomplished throughout their time at St Peter’s.

What this means for you

  • Your child’s end-of-year report will still be sent home on Friday 10 July 2026, as planned.
  • This report will include teacher assessments, giving a clear and meaningful picture of your child’s progress.
  • SATS results will follow once they are released to schools. We expect to share these with families on Thursday 16 July, or Friday 17 July if required.

Reassurance for families

We want to emphasise that:
  • The delay is not related to the quality or accuracy of the results.
  • All test papers have been marked as usual.
  • There will be no impact on your child’s transition to secondary school.
  • No action is required from parents or children.

Love Learn Shine

At St Peter’s, we always place children at the heart of everything we do. While SATS are one part of their journey, they do not define the wonderful individuals our children have become. This moment is still one of celebration, reflection, and pride. Our Year 6 children have truly lived out our vision to Love, Learn and Shine, and we look forward to celebrating them fully in these final weeks of their primary school journey.
