We are incredibly proud of the children who are taking part in the Archbishops’ Young Leaders Award, which is being led so enthusiastically by Mrs Williams. This year, 21 children are undertaking the award – a fantastic achievement and a real testament to their commitment to making a positive difference.
The Archbishops’ Young Leaders Award is a wonderful programme designed for children aged 5–18, helping them to develop leadership skills and encouraging them to take part in meaningful social action projects within their communities. Rooted in the theme “Small Steps, Big Changes”, the award inspires children to live out important values such as courage, thankfulness, compassion, friendship and hope.
As part of the programme, our children have been exploring how they can make improvements within our school environment. They have been thinking carefully about topics such as litter collection, environmental care, and ways to make our school an even better place for everyone. Their thoughtful ideas and teamwork have been inspiring to see.
The children have also been working closely with the local charity Artizan, showing kindness and creativity as they design and create cards and friendship bracelets. These beautiful handmade items will be used to raise money for both the school and Artizan, helping to support the wider community while strengthening children’s understanding of generosity and service. 💛
Through classroom discussions and activities, the children have been exploring what it means to be a leader, discovering how even small actions can have a meaningful impact. Their enthusiasm, compassion and sense of responsibility truly reflect our school vision to Love, Learn and Shine each and every day.
We are so proud of the way these children are stepping up, working together and showing that they can make a real difference in the world around them. We look forward to seeing how their ideas continue to grow and the positive changes they will bring to our school community! 🌿✨
