A huge thank you and congratulations to our amazing team of mums who took part in the Harrogate Bed Race. Their commitment and teamwork were truly inspiring – from weeks of training, to preparing their bed, to giving it their all on race day. They represented our school fantastically and made us all incredibly proud.
One of the real highlights was seeing the bed proudly decorated with our children’s artwork as it made its way through the parade. It was so special to see their creativity celebrated in such a public and joyful way, and it brought an extra sense of pride and connection for our whole school community.
Not only did the team embrace this brilliant event with enthusiasm, but they also helped to raise valuable funds for FOSP (Friends of St Peter’s). This support makes a meaningful difference to the opportunities we can provide for our children.
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who supported along the way – whether cheering, helping behind the scenes, or contributing in any way. It was a true community effort.
It was especially lovely to see a former St Peter’s child taking part on the bed, reminding us of the lasting bonds and happy memories created here.
The whole experience reflected our school vision beautifully:
