🍂 Exploring Autumn Through Art and Nature
Wrens have been looking at the changing weather and have started to notice some of the first signs of autumn. The children have enjoyed exploring the season through creative artwork and a range of autumn-themed provision, helping them to learn about the world around them and the changes taking place in nature.
As we spend time outdoors, the children have been observing falling leaves, cooler temperatures and the changing colours of the trees. These discussions have sparked lots of curiosity and excitement, and we are looking forward to spotting even more signs of autumn as the season unfolds.
This learning links beautifully to our school vision of Love, Learn and Shine. The children are learning to appreciate and care for the world around them, developing their understanding through exploration and sharing their discoveries with others.
Try these autumn activities at home: 🍁 Go on an autumn walk and look for signs of the season, such as colourful leaves, acorns and conkers.
🎨 Create a collage or picture using natural items collected on your walk.
📚 Share an autumn-themed story together and talk about any seasonal changes you notice.
☔ Keep a simple weather diary and compare the weather each day.
🌳 Take photographs of autumn discoveries and encourage your child to talk about what they have found.
