✨ Children Shine at Our Musical Tea Party

Jun
After a morning of heavy rain, the weather could not have been more different by the afternoon. The clouds cleared, the sun appeared and it felt as though the day itself was celebrating alongside us. Just as the sunshine broke through, so too did each of our wonderful performers, lighting up the hall with confidence, talent and joy.
Our Musical Tea Party was a truly special occasion for St Peter’s CE Primary School. Children performed to an audience of peers, families and friends, showing great courage and pride as they shared their musical talents. From choirs and recorders to piano, guitar, violin and solo singing, every performance was a reminder of how music helps children to grow in confidence and express themselves creatively.
The bravery shown by the children was a real highlight. Standing up to perform in front of others takes confidence and resilience, and every child should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. The applause from families and friends reflected just how much their efforts were appreciated.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs Pywell for her passion and dedication to music across the school. Her work with choirs, instrumentalists and recorder groups provides children with rich opportunities to discover and develop their musical skills.

“Music gives children a voice and helps them to believe in themselves. Seeing the children perform with such confidence and enjoyment is incredibly special,”

Mrs Pywell.
Our thanks also go to Miss Corrigan, who leads Junior Choir with such enthusiasm and care. This choir offers our youngest children a wonderful outlet for singing from an early age, helping to build confidence, teamwork and a love of music.
We are also very grateful to FOSP for providing such lovely refreshments and helping to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Their support plays an important role in bringing our school community together.
Reflecting on the afternoon, Headteacher Mr Griffiths shared how closely events like this link to the school’s vision.
“Music and creativity are central to our Love, Learn, Shine vision. Through opportunities like this, children learn to be brave, to work together and to shine as individuals. The sunshine outside was matched by the joy and confidence inside the hall,” said Mr Griffiths.
The Musical Tea Party was a perfect example of children loving what they do, learning new skills and shining brightly. It was an afternoon full of warmth, creativity and community, one that will be remembered by all who attended.
