We are delighted to be delivering the Archbishop of York Young Leaders Award programme to a group of our Year 6 children. They meet every Friday after school. The Young Leaders Award (YLA) is a fully resourced leadership
and character education programme that helps children realise their potential as leaders challenging them to ‘be the change they want to see’.
Each week the children look at and explore different leadership skills and qualities building their knowledge and complete individual and community challenges as they work towards achieving their award.
The cup challenge really made the young leaders think about and develop team work and communication skills as well as the balance leaders have to find of stepping forward with ideas and as well as listening to and include others.
