Sharing Our Sporting Shine

Jun

We were delighted to host our annual sports day this week. In glorious sunshine on the Stray the whole school took part in an action packed morning of sporting activity. Despite the warm temperatures all the children gave 100% running, jumping and throwing their way through a host of challenges and races. A big thank you to Mrs Renton and Mr Crooks from Sporting Influence for setting up and running a fabulous morning. Thank you also to FOSP for the much needed refreshments half way through the morning.

At the end of the morning we were delighted to present our Craven Cup award. This award recognises children from Year Six who have shared their sporting shine throughout their time at St Peter’s representing the school in curriculum and extra curricular sporting activities supporting others. This year the award went to Ryan and Jessica. Both children have been actively involved in a range of sports and activities with within and beyond school during their time at St Peter’s. Both of them are great role models in terms of how they conduct themselves in a host of different sporting activities. They have both represented the school over a number of years and have actively contributed to school life through their roles in our ‘playsquad’. They are both deserving winners of this award.
