Children from the whole of Key Stage One enjoyed a fabulous day at Saltburn on Tuesday this week. In History they have been learning about holidays in the past in particular holidays in Victorian times and compering these with present day holidays.
They children all enjoyed travelling together by coach to Saltburn before a walk along the promenade and the pier and a study of the funicular railway. They then enjoyed some beach challenges including building the highest rock tower before lunch. After lunch there was a ride on the Saltburn miniature railway to Valley Gardens where they all enjoyed an ice cream before heading back on the railway to the beach for a traditional paddle and play in the sand.
Thank you to all the adults who accompanied this trip especially our wonderful parent volunteers. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as the children clearly did.
