Little Pumpkins, Big Smiles: at our Autumn Stay and Play

Oct

This afternoon our Early Years team welcomed families to a magical Autumn Stay and Play session filled with spooky fun, seasonal creativity, and joyful learning. The classroom was transformed into a cosy autumn wonderland, complete with pumpkins, cobwebs, and just the right amount of friendly frights!

Children explored themed activity stations designed to spark curiosity and imagination—from pumpkin themes counting to ghostly crafts and storytelling corners. Laughter echoed through the room as little ones enjoyed spending time with family members and staff proudly showed off their creations.

This special event was more than just play—it was a celebration of our school vision:
Love, Learn, Shine.

  • Love was felt in the warm connections between families, staff, and children.
  • Learn was alive in every corner, as children discovered new textures, words, and ideas.
  • And Shine they did—through smiles, confidence, and creativity.

We’re so grateful to all the families who joined us and helped make the morning so memorable. These moments of shared joy and learning are at the heart of what makes St Peter’s such a special place to grow.

Stay tuned for more exciting events coming soon including our open classrooms event just after half term on Thursday 6 November 3.45 – 5.00pm including online safety talks from our Trust safeguarding lead.
