As we look ahead to the Easter season, we know that many families like to take part in the special services and events at St Peter’s Church, Harrogate. Below is a helpful round‑up of the family‑friendly Easter events happening over the break.
Family Easter Events at St Peter’s Church
🌿 Palm Sunday – Sunday 29th March
Palm crosses are blessed and given out during services to commemorate Christ’s entry into Jerusalem.
A gentle and meaningful way for children to begin Holy Week.
✝️ Good Friday – Friday 3rd April
10:00 am – Good Friday Family Service with craft activities
A wonderful opportunity for children to learn about the Easter story through creativity and family worship.
11:00–11:30 am – Netmakers Good Friday Service at the Cenotaph
Families are invited to join with local churches for this short outdoor service in the town centre.
🌸 Easter Day – Sunday 5th April
Please bring a flower to add to the beautiful Easter Flowering Cross outside the church—a lovely tradition for children to take part in.
9:30 am – Family Communion
This child‑friendly Easter service is a welcoming and joyful way to celebrate together.
(Other Easter Day services are available for families who wish to attend at different times.)
A Reminder for Families
School reopens for the Summer Term on Monday 13th April.
