There was much excitement among Year 6 children this morning as they headed off for their residential experience at East Barnby Outdoor Education Centre. Located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and a stones throw to Yorkshire’s Heritage Coast, East Barnby is ideally situated to provide a wide range of land, fresh water and coastal programmes in stunning natural surroundings.
With bags packed for adventures ahead they had a smooth journey to their coast arriving in time to begin to explore their surroundings for the rest of the week and have their lunch.
After settling into their dorms, they had a quick lunch before heading off to Sandsend for body boarding. The water was chilly but we were warm in our wetsuits and had so much fun!
