📚 SATs Support: Helping Our Children Feel Ready and Confident

Jan

At St Peter’s, we want every child to Love, Learn and Shine. As part of our commitment to helping our Year 6 children feel calm, confident and well‑prepared for their KS2 SATs, we are delighted to share a set of high‑quality maths support booklets now available in school.

These KS2 SATs question booklets have been carefully designed to help children practise the key areas they will meet in their end‑of‑primary maths assessments. Each booklet focuses on a different topic, offering:
  • Clear, fully worked examples
Teachers can display these examples in class so children can see each step of the method and understand exactly how to approach different types of questions.
  • Questions matched to the current KS2 curriculum
Outdated content has been removed and newly written questions added, ensuring that everything reflects what children are expected to know today.
  • Useful checks at the end of a maths unit
While they’re excellent for SATs preparation, the booklets are also a great way for teachers to check children’s understanding as they complete each area of maths.
These resources are part of our ongoing work to support children in building strong learning habits, developing confidence in themselves, and shining brightly in all they do. The site can be accessed here.
If you would like to know more about how we are preparing children for SATs in school, or how you can support learning at home in a gentle and encouraging way, please speak to your child’s class teacher we’re always happy to help.
