🕰️ Stepping Back in Time: Learning About Florence NightingaleÂ
This week in History, our children have been learning all about the remarkable life of Florence Nightingale. They explored the key events that shaped her journey and discovered why she is remembered as such an important figure in history.
Working in groups, the children carefully ordered the events of her life in chronological order, discussing and debating which dates were most significant. It was wonderful to see teamwork, curiosity, and a real love of learning shining through!
Miss Corrigan shared: “The children showed fantastic collaboration and enthusiasm. They were really engaged in understanding how Florence Nightingale’s actions changed healthcare forever.”
Through this activity, our children not only learnt about history but also developed skills in sequencing, reasoning, and working together – all part of our school vision to Love, Learn, Shine.
