🥚 Cracking the Mystery: Dino Egg UPDATE from Wrens 🥚

🦖 Dinosaur Discovery in Wren’s Class 🦖

This afternoon, Wren’s class had a very special mission!
Mummy Dinosaur sent a message asking for help to hatch her baby dino eggs, and Wren’s children were more than ready for the challenge. After a lively discussion about the best way to hatch the eggs, the children rolled up their sleeves and got to work. They carefully dug and brushed the eggs until – at last – the baby dinosaurs appeared!
The classroom was filled with excitement as the children welcomed their new prehistoric friends. It was a wonderful opportunity for teamwork, problem-solving, and lots of imaginative play – a perfect example of our school vision to Love, Learn, Shine.

Miss Ward said:
“The children showed fantastic teamwork and creativity. It was lovely to see them so engaged and excited about learning!”

Mrs Renton added:
“This activity sparked so many brilliant ideas and conversations. The children were full of curiosity and wonder – it was magical!”

Why not keep the excitement going at home? Here are some fun ideas:
  • Create a Dino Habitat: Use a box or tray to make a mini dinosaur world with sand, stones, and leaves.
  • Dinosaur Fact Hunt: Look up interesting facts about your favourite dinosaur and share them with your family.
  • Dino Art: Draw or paint your own dinosaur and give it a name!

Questions to Ask Your Child

  • What did you do to help the eggs hatch?
  • Which dinosaur was your favourite and why?
  • How did you work as a team in class today?
  • What do you think dinosaurs ate?
We’d love to see your child’s creativity shine! Share your home activities by emailing us at admin@stpeters.ycst.co.uk so we can celebrate their learning together.
