🌸 Spring Term 2026 – Ready to Love, Learn, Shine 🌸

Welcome back to Spring Term 2026! We hope all our families enjoyed a restful and joyful Christmas and New Year break. Staff have been busy preparing for an exciting term ahead, and we can’t wait to welcome all the children back to school on Tuesday 6 January.

This term promises plenty of opportunities for our children to Love, Learn, Shine, and we’re thrilled to share some key updates for the term ahead and to help families stay connected:

Stay in the Loop

Wondering how to keep up with school life this term? Our News Section on the website is the perfect place to follow your child’s learning journey and celebrate creativity, curiosity, and achievement. You can also catch updates on our Instagram page – a great way to see what’s happening day-to-day.

Daily Timings & Punctuality

  • Start of day: 8.45am (children should be in their lines and ready to enter school; staff available from 8.40am).
  • End of day: 3.15pm.
Please note: children should not use the fixed playground equipment before or after school for safety reasons. Thank you for your support.

Attendance Matters

Every day in school makes a difference! Good attendance helps children make the most of their learning, build friendships, and grow in confidence. If your child is unwell or you need support with attendance, please email admin@stpeters.ycst.co.uk so we can help.

Photo Consents

Our new photo consent process is now live. Please update your child’s consent in Arbor by Tuesday 6 January 2026. If no update is provided, we will assume no consent.

Parent Consultations

Appointments are still available for Tuesday 13 January and Thursday 15 January (3.45pm–7.15pm). Book via the Arbor Parent Portal or App to secure your slot.

Winter Weather & Clothing

Although it’s Spring Term, the weather is still very wintery! Please ensure children have a named warm coat, and as needed, hats and gloves. Outdoor play continues whenever safe, so coats should be in school every day.

Swimming

Swimming sessions start this Wednesday afternoon for Starlings class and some Year 5 children. If you can volunteer to help accompany the group, please email admin@stpeters.ycst.co.uk or call 01423 569684 – even occasional help is appreciated!

Healthy Snacks & Nut Awareness

Morning snacks should be fruit, breadsticks, crackers or similar healthy options. We are a Nut Aware School, so please avoid sending nuts, seeds, hummus, or products containing nuts in snacks or packed lunches.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. For full details, please read the complete letter in the Letters section of our website. If you have any questions, email admin@stpeters.ycst.co.uk or call our friendly office team on 01423 569684.
