📚 Wrens’ Class First Library Adventure!

Nov
The Wrens class had a wonderful time on their very first visit to the Harrogate library. The children explored the shelves, discovered exciting books, and even played a fun character guessing game that had everyone thinking hard and laughing together.
To make the visit extra special, the children created their own colourful bookmarks – perfect for marking the pages of the stories they’ll enjoy in the future. Although we didn’t take any books home this time, as it was our first visit, the children are already looking forward to choosing some fantastic reads next time.
Mrs Renton shared her excitement about the visit:
“It was lovely to see the children so engaged and curious. They were full of questions and really enjoyed creating their own bookmarks. I can’t wait to see which books they choose next time!”
One child summed up the joy of the day perfectly:
“I want to come back and get a book about dinosaurs – and maybe one with a princess too!”
This experience reflects our school vision of Love, Learn, Shine – fostering a love of reading, learning through play and creativity, and shining with enthusiasm for new adventures. Parents, why not ask your child which book they’re most excited to borrow on their next library visit? You might be surprised by their choices!
