πŸŒ„ Our Nidderdale Explorers: Day Two Highlights πŸŒ„

Day Two at Bewerley ParkΒ
After a cosy first night in our dorms, the children woke up full of excitement and ready to embrace a brand new day of adventure. With the beautiful Nidderdale countryside as our backdrop, we gathered for a hearty breakfast and met with our activity leaders to plan the day ahead.
From the very start, the children showed how they are living out our school vision of Love, Learn, Shine. They supported one another with kindness and care as they prepared for the dayβ€”checking their kit, encouraging their friends, and thinking ahead to the challenges they might face. This was a wonderful example of how we love through friendship and teamwork.
Throughout the day, the children took part in a wide range of activities including high ropes, climbing walls, mine exploration, canoeing and the Leap of Faith. Each activity stretched them in different ways physically, emotionally and socially. Whether it was conquering a fear of heights, navigating underground tunnels, or paddling across open water, the children showed incredible learning through perseverance, problem-solving and resilience.
It was fantastic to see how each child found their own way to shine. Some discovered hidden talents, others found courage they didn’t know they had, and many simply shone through their encouragement and support of others. Guided by expert instructors and cheered on by our brilliant St Peter’s staff, the children tackled each challenge with determination and joy.
After a full day of adventure, we returned for warm showers and a delicious evening meal before our evening activity. The laughter and teamwork continued into the evening, showing just how much the children are growing together.
Evening Activity – Day 2: Talent Show Triumphs!
🎭 Talent Takes Centre Stage on Day 2. 🎀
The children at Bewerley Park truly embodied our school vision of Love, Learn, Shine during their evening activity on Day 2 – the much-anticipated Talent Show! With laughter, music, and creativity filling the room, it was a joyful celebration of individuality and courage.
πŸ† Joint 1st Place went to two unforgettable acts:
  • A hilarious set of dad jokes that had everyone giggling from Grace.
  • A powerful and passionate rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, sung by Florence with flair and confidence!
πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place was awarded to S, who wowed the audience with a self-choreographed dance – a beautiful display of expression and movement.
πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place went to E and D, who performed their heartfelt version of The Climb, reminding us all of the strength found in perseverance and friendship.
The evening was a wonderful showcase of the children’s talents, bravery, and support for one another. Whether performing or cheering from the audience, every child shone brightly – and we couldn’t be prouder!
We are so proud of every child and grateful to our families for supporting this experience. A huge thank you to the fantastic Bewerley Park instructors and our dedicated St Peter’s staff who are helping make this residential so special.

This week is more than just a trip it’s a celebration of everything we believe in at St Peter’s: Love, Learn, Shine.
