Starlings Class Dive into the Depths of Personification
Today in Starlings class, the sea wasn’t just salty—it sighed, danced, and whispered secrets to the shore. Inspired by the beautifully poetic picture book The Uncorker of Bottles, our young writers have been exploring the power of personification to bring their seaside scenes to life.
Children imagined the beach as a storyteller, the waves as playful friends, and the wind as a gentle guide. Their descriptive writing was rich with emotion and imagination, showing a deep understanding of how language can paint vivid pictures and evoke feeling.
This creative literacy session not only supported our curriculum goals but also reflected our school vision to Love, Learn, Shine:
