📚 Setting the Scene: Eagles Class Dazzle with Descriptive Writing ✏️

This week in Eagles Class, our hardworking children have launched into a new writing unit focused on setting descriptions and what a start they’ve made.
From the very first lesson, the children have shown a flair for language, using exciting vocabulary and experimenting with varied sentence starters to bring their scenes to life. Their enthusiasm and creativity are already shining through, and it’s clear they’re loving the challenge.
Mr Henderson, Eagles Class teacher, shared this message:
“This week we are writing setting descriptions using exciting vocabulary and varying our sentence starters. This is how good they are on day one of our learning—imagine how good they will be by the end of the unit!”
It’s a wonderful reflection of our school vision: Love, Learn, Shine. The children are loving the process of writing, learning new techniques to enhance their storytelling, and shining brightly through their words.
We’re so proud of how confidently they’ve begun this journey, and we can’t wait to see how their writing develops over the coming weeks. We are pleased to share some examples of the super start they have made below.
Why not pop along to open classrooms this Thursday to see in more detail the children’s work in their books. Remember every classroom will be open with teachers on hand for a chat from 3.30 – 5.00pm.
