🥋🏃‍♂️ Active Partnerships, Active Pupils. 🌟 Teamwork in Action: After-School Sports with AIM & Sporting Influence🥋🏃‍♂️

At St Peter’s CE Primary School, we believe that learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings. Our after-school club programme is a vibrant extension of our school day—full of energy, friendship and opportunity.  We believe that every child deserves the chance to Love, Learn and Shine—and our after-school club programme is a joyful reflection of that vision.
We’re proud to work with a range of  local organisations including AIM Martial Arts, led by coaches James and Milo, and Sporting Influence, represented by the ever-enthusiastic Mr Osborne. Together, they help us deliver a vibrant range of activities that keep children active, engaged and smiling. Thanks to these partnerships children across the school are enjoying a wide range of activities that help them stay active, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun!

🥋 AIM Martial Arts – Message from Coaches James & Milo

“We’re proud to be part of the St Peter’s community. Our martial arts sessions are designed to build confidence, focus and respect in a fun and engaging way. It’s amazing to see the children grow in skill and self-belief each week. The new space in the hall has made a huge difference—thank you for welcoming us so warmly!”

🏃 Sporting Influence – Message from Mr Osborne

“Working with St Peter’s is always a highlight of my week. The children bring such enthusiasm and positivity to every session. Whether it’s team games or skill challenges, we aim to help every child feel included, active and proud of their progress. The dedicated space for clubs has really enhanced what we can offer—thank you!”

👟 A Personal Touch: Mr Griffiths Joins the Team

Our Headteacher, Mr Griffiths, is not just cheering from the side-lines—he’s actively involved in delivering our Early Years and KS1 sports club every Monday, working alongside Mr Osborne to ensure the right ratios and a safe, supportive environment for our youngest pupils.
“It’s a real privilege to be part of the sessions each week. Seeing our youngest children enjoy sport with their friends, grow in confidence, and stay active is incredibly rewarding. It also helps me keep up with them—which is no small challenge!”
Mr Griffiths, Headteacher

With our wraparound care now having its own dedicated space, our main large hall is free all year round for these clubs—giving children more room to move, play and shine. These sessions not only support physical health but also nurture friendships, teamwork and personal growth.
This is what Love, Learn, Shine looks like in action—children loving their time together, learning new skills, and shining with confidence.
