Last Friday the Climate Crew had their first meeting where they planted and delivered a spider ‘pet’ plant for every class in school. There are many benefits to having plants in the classroom including: fresher air, improved wellbeing, connecting children to the environment, use as a lesson subject and they encourage responsibility. The spider plants will eventually sprout baby plants which the children may find exciting and are welcome to take home and have their very own pet plant! The classes will collectively be responsible for looking after their pet plant and nurturing it. We believe they all have names too!
