Owls Class Enjoy a Wonderful Visit to Our Local Library

On Tuesday, Owls class in Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic visit to our local library. The children were excited to step inside and discover the amazing new models currently on display, which really brought stories and ideas to life.
During the visit, the children spent time sharing books with their friends, curling up with stories, and chatting about their favourite characters. It was lovely to see how confidently they explored the shelves and how eager they were to choose something new to read.
Miss Ward was especially proud of how the children represented St Peterโ€™s, saying:
โ€œOur children were absolutely captivated by the displays and the huge choice of books. It was wonderful to see their faces light up as they found stories that excited them. Visits like this really help to grow a lifelong love of reading.โ€
We are so privileged to have such a fantastic resource right on our doorstep. Our local library supports our school vision of Love, Learn, Shine:
  • Love โ€“ by helping children develop a real love of stories and reading together
  • Learn โ€“ by giving them access to a huge range of books and information
  • Shine โ€“ by inspiring them to be curious, confident and creative learners

A Great Place for Families

Our local library isnโ€™t just for school visits โ€“ itโ€™s a brilliant place for families too. There are:
  • Wonderful childrenโ€™s books to borrow and enjoy at home
  • Regular activities during the week and at weekends, such as story times, craft sessions and themed events
  • Quiet spaces where children can read, relax and complete homework
  • Friendly staff who are always happy to help children find books theyโ€™ll love
We would really encourage all our families to make the most of this amazing community resource. Popping into the library together โ€“ whether after school or at the weekend โ€“ is a simple but powerful way to help your child love, learn and shine beyond the classroom.
