💛 Celebrating Daily Kindness at St Peter’s

Children’s Mental Health Week 2026 is underway, and this year’s national theme is Belonging — something we hold close in our St Peter’s vision to Love • Learn • Shine.
To help our children understand the powerful role kindness plays in helping everyone feel seen, valued and connected, we are introducing something very special…

🌟 Daily DOUBLE Kindness Merits

Every day this week, two children from every class will be awarded a special Kindness Merit worth five merits each. These additional merits will contribute to each child’s running total, which families can view in real time on Arbor.
These special stickers and merits celebrate:
  • everyday acts of kindness,
  • helping hands,
  • thoughtful words, and
  • moments where children help others feel they belong.
We see kindness as strength and a key part of our culture of Love, Learn, Shine.

📸 Today’s Winners

We are delighted to share today’s Kindness Merit winners from Sparrows and Wrens classes.

Keep checking back throughout the week as we spotlight more wonderful acts of kindness happening all around school.

đź’ˇ Kindness Ideas for Home

Here are some simple, child-friendly ways to keep spreading kindness beyond the classroom:
  • Give a genuine compliment – noticing the good in others helps everyone feel valued.
  • Invite someone new to play – inclusion is an act of belonging.
  • Help at home without being asked – small actions make a big difference.
  • Make a kindness card – a picture or short note can brighten someone’s day.
  • Share something you’re grateful for – it builds emotional wellbeing (supported by programmes like myHappymind
  • Check in on a friend – asking “Are you OK?” shows care and connection.
