🎶 Makaton Club Brings Old MacDonald to Life!
This week, our Makaton Club was full of music, movement, and plenty of farmyard fun as the children learned to sign along to Old MacDonald Had a Farm. Building on the farm animal signs they’ve been practising over the last few weeks, the children were thrilled to put their learning into action through song and story.
Led beautifully this week by Miss Ward, alongside our enthusiastic Year 6 Makaton Leaders, the session was full of joy, confidence and inclusive communication in action.
Miss Ward shared:
“It’s wonderful watching children support one another to learn new signs. Makaton has such power — it gives every child a voice, helps them express themselves, and brings us closer together as a community. Our Year 6 leaders were fantastic role models today.”
Across the school, Makaton continues to play a special role in helping us live out our vision to Love, Learn, Shine.
