Our Junior Choir Sparkles at Young Voices 2026

Last night, our St Peter’s Junior Choir had the unforgettable experience of performing at Young Voices, the world’s largest children’s choir concert series. After months of dedicated practice and joyful rehearsals in our after‑school choir club, our children finally stepped onto the huge arena stage an afternoon and evening full of excitement, pride and music.
Young Voices is an incredible musical phenomenon, bringing together thousands of children from across the country to sing in one spectacular massed choir. The event is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, professional live band and inspiring musical arrangements. It remains “the heartbeat of music for primary schools across the UK, where children and teachers unite in an electrifying choir experience.

A Brief History of Young Voices

Young Voices began over 25 years ago with a simple mission: to give children the chance to experience the joy of singing together on a grand scale. Since then, it has grown into the largest school choir concert series on the planet—bringing together more than 2,000 schools each year and creating memories that truly last a lifetime.

Experiences Like This Matter

Singing as part of a collective brings remarkable benefits for children, including:

🎵 Wellbeing

  • Singing reduces stress, boosts confidence and supports emotional health.
  • Performing in such an uplifting environment helps children feel positive, calm and connected.

🤝 Belonging & Teamwork

  • Being part of something as vast as Young Voices builds a genuine sense of unity.
  • Children learn to rely on each other, listen to each other, and celebrate each other.

🌟 Personal Growth

  • Performing in a professional arena is an empowering experience.
  • Children develop courage, resilience and pride in their achievements.
These experiences only deepen our school vision to Love, Learn, Shine—children learning through rich experiences, shining together, and feeling loved and supported every step of the way.

A Huge Thank You

We want to say a sincere thank you to all our parents and families for supporting this opportunity ensuring the children could attend, helping with late night travel, and cheering them on every step of the journey. Your encouragement makes experiences like this possible.
And of course, an enormous thank you to our wonderful Junior Choir Leader, Mrs Pywell, for her passion, organisation and unwavering belief in the power of music.
Here’s a message from her:
“I couldn’t be prouder of our children. They sang their hearts out, supported one another beautifully, and truly shone. Seeing their faces light up as the arena came alive with thousands of voices was a moment I’ll never forget.” — Mrs Pywell
