🎉 Holiday Fun at St Peter’s With Funclub!
This February half term, St Peter’s CE Primary School has once again stayed open to support our families and wider community working in close partnership with Funclub to provide a brilliant, familiar and joyful holiday experience for our children and for children from across the local area.
While many schools were closed, St Peter’s was buzzing with activity, imagination and friendship. Our shared purpose was simple: to offer a safe, warm and engaging space where children could Love, Learn and Shine even during the school break—and what a week it has been!
🌟 A Space to Belong
One of the highlights of hosting Funclub onsite is the sense of comfort and continuity it gives our children. Being able to spend half term in their own school environment, supported by adults they know well, helps them feel settled and confident. Families tell us often how much difference this makes—and we’re proud to offer that stability.
We were equally delighted to welcome children from the wider community. Holiday provision at St Peter’s gives us a wonderful opportunity to strengthen local connections and share our ethos of love, learning and shining brightly together.
🎨🥞 A Week Full of Activities
Funclub provided a fantastic menu of play‑based, hands‑on activities that kept children energised, curious and smiling. Highlights included:
- Arts and crafts with plenty of colour, creativity and glitter
- Sports and outdoor challenges to burn off energy and build teamwork
- Small world play igniting stories, imagination and collaboration
- Themed days such as:
- 🥞 Pancake Day creations
- 🍪 MasterChef-style Bake Off, where teams designed and baked the best homemade cookies!
- 👩🍳 Baking Day, filling school with the smell of warm treats and proud achievements
Every activity offered opportunities for problem‑solving, friendship-building and discovering new talents—true to our St Peter’s vision of helping every child to Love, Learn and Shine.
🌈 Thank You
A big thank you to our Funclub partners and to all the families who joined us. We love seeing St Peter’s being used as a community hub where childhood is celebrated and enriched even during the holidays.
